The fire broke out around 11 p.m. at the home on Glenwood Drive in Trumbull on Thursday, Feb. 21, Long Hill Volunteer Fire officials said on Facebook.

First arriving crews reported a heavy fire in the garage, which contained a Lexus SUV and a Porsche, and declared a working fire, the department said.

Long Hill crews were able to quickly knock down the fire, and as a result, the home only received smoke damage.

The family, which were home at the time, were able to safely evacuate.

Long Hill was assisted by crews from Nichols and Trumbull fire departments.

The Trumbull Fire Marshall's office is investigating the cause.
